Thursday, April 14th, 2011
MOSCOW — Orion Express satellite television provider has entered into agreement with Conax – a leading global provider of content security solutions – to use Conax security on the “Orient Express” DTH platform.
“Orient Express” package (140°E) will be delivered to the population of Siberia and Far East in MPEG-2 and encrypted with Conax, in addition to Irdeto CAS currently in use.
Implementing Conax security significantly extends the list of compatible set-top-boxes that subscribers can use for “Orient Express”. Conax’ main advantage is a wide range of equipment that is available in various price segments.
A wide range of low-cost devices is particularly available for customers, among them there is Globo X80, an official satellite receiver for “Orient Express”, already launched into the market. The device has all key features: support of EPG in Russian language, text messages and SMS, software update via OTA and others.
Price for “Orient Express” full pack, including a set top box and a smart card (Conax) with 1 month subscription, starts from RUR 1900 (USD) only.
“Orient Express” packs are available at Sky Progress stores.
