Skyviia partners with Ocean Blue on CI Plus

UK and Taiwan — Skyviia, a global multimedia semiconductor company, partners with Ocean Blue Software, the leading innovator of digital TV software, to enable CI Plus on Skyviia SV8870 SoC.

Ocean Blue has a mature and proven CI Plus solution that is V1.3.1 ready and includes the CI+ browser module for use in host devices such as set top boxes and iDTVs. As well as the host software, the Ocean Blue CI+ suite includes Triton, a free application authoring tool designed to create CAM based subscriber applications such as EPG, Pay Per View and Video on Demand; plus test and performance tools to help ensure CI Plus compliance of the host.

Ocean Blue Software produced the world’s first CI Plus application, launched at ANGA Cable show 2008, paving the way for highly interactive subscriber content on iDTVs. They have continued their support for CI+ and is part of the technical work group now implementing the new features for the DVB led V1.4 specification.
