25% of German households had DVB-T receivers at end-2011
Tuesday, August 28th, 2012According to figures highlighted by Germany’s Federal Statistical Office (Statistisches Bundesamt – Destatis), in time for the IFA show in Berlin, the penetration of digital terrestrial TV receivers in German households more than doubled from the end of 2007 to the end of 2011. DVB-T receivers were in 12% of households at the end of 2007 rising to 25% at the end of last year.
Satellite TV penetration also grew from 39% to 42%. The proportion of households with cable connections fell from 50% to 46%.
