ONO Spain subscribers down 60,000 in 2012

MADRID — Grupo Corporativo ONO, S.A. (“ONO”), the second largest provider of broadband Internet, pay television and fixed telephony services and a fast growing provider of mobile services in Spain, announced today the consolidated unaudited results for the fourth quarter and full year 2012 consolidated results.

Television

Fibre television customers decreased by 20 thousand in the quarter and 60 thousand in the year to reach 862 thousand as of December 31, 2012. We believe this service has been the one most impacted by the negative macroeconomic environment, the significant price increase experienced in football and the recent VAT increase, forcing our most price sensitive customers to drop the service and go “free to air” in order to preserve their disposable income.

To proactively address the weakness on this service, we have developed TiVo, a unique product that has positioned ONO at the forefront of the TV market in Spain. This innovative product provides our customers with a best-in-class experience and a wide variety of content including over 20 HD channels, 3D functionalities and broadband connectivity. Adding a powerful and personalised search engine and a PVR provides an unmatched product experience in Spain as showcased by our excellent satisfaction metrics.

In October 2011, we officially launched the TiVo next generation TV (NGTV) service to customers in Madrid and Barcelona and since then we have made it available in approximately 100% of our network.

The TiVo uptake so far is encouraging as almost 100 thousand customers have already signed up for this new product which represents 11% of our TV customer base.

We believe TiVo is a clear ARPU enhancer, but more importantly, an efficient loyalty tool as showcased by the low levels of churn experienced in this service.

We expect TiVo will help us to increase the number of our TV customers and revenues going forward.
