Videon distributes software platform for Intel Media Server reference design

STATE COLLEGE, PA — Videon Central Inc., an authorized distributor of the Intel® Media Server Reference Design, announces a new software platform with its latest Avia Media Player supporting Chromecast, an optimized DVB solution from Futarque, Hillcrest Labs’ Freespace® motion control technology and a complete software development kit from Intel. The reference design highlights features of the Intel® Atom™ processor CE5300 and its application in IPTV, hybrid set-top box and gateway devices.
The reference design uses a small-form factor enclosure and PCB with a dual-core SoC, integrated 2D and 3D Graphics and 2GB of DDRIII SDRAM. The complete kit includes the hardware reference design, a power supply with power cable (100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz), IR remote control, HDMI cable and USB2 UART cable with an option to pre-install the new software platform.
