Telekom Slovenije presents its all-in-one OTT platform, TViN, for operators and media companies

Telekom Slovenije, Slovenia’s biggest IPTV, ISP and mobile provider, today announced its white-label OTT solution for operators and media companies based on its TViN platform. TViN is an all-in-one solution with second screen, live TV, VOD, and cloud storage options, enabling service providers to seamlessly expand their OTT TV service to multiple devices.

The platform can be fully customised by the user, enabling flexible roll out of additional services as they become relevant to the given ecosystem. Right out of the box, TViN supports live TV, catch-up TV, remote PVR and EPG functionalities, VOD, and cloud-based storage with media transcoding capabilities. Solutions and apps are available for all common platforms, including web, Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. The platform is also one of the first in the world to integrate UEFA LiveEx technology, providing sports fans following UEFA Champions League matches a better overview of other football games being played simultaneously. With as-it-happens video alerts of goals, penalties, and red cards – even when other content is being viewed – the TViN platform gives sports fans a unique experience, putting them at the centre of the action wherever they are.

“The evolution of TViN from a simple web-TV application to a comprehensive web and mobile OTT platform is the logical next step, following the successful integration of the solution into the ecosystems of several regional operators,” said Simon Furlan, marketing director at Telekom Slovenije. “TViN enables operators and media companies without an OTT platform to quickly upgrade their existing services with a state-of-the-art solution, encompassing all media delivery needs as well as a cloud storage option with media transcoding, integrated into the OTT customer experience.”

TViN’s track record as a solution for other operators is backed by successful integration of the service by several of the fastest growing operators in the region, including IPKO, Kosovo’s leading IPTV operator, and Blicnet of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The service takes 60 days to implement and can be quickly adapted to any media delivery platform.

“Distributing content on the web is gaining importance, and at Planet TV it is a cornerstone of our strategy,” said Pete Smith, Managing Director at Antenna Group, the market-leading operator in South East Europe. “TViN enabled us to deploy the content delivery system in record time and due to its future-proof technology, Planet TV is the leading multi-screen TV channel in the market.”

TViN has been shortlisted in the TV Connect Industry Awards 2014, ‘Best TV on the Move Service’ category. Telekom Slovenije will also be present at TV Connect 2014, showcasing the TViN OTT solution, among the company’s other products for both consumers and operators.
