NETANYA, Israel & BANGKOK — Siano, the world’s leading supplier of mobile broadcast DTV solutions, and SAMART i-mobile, the largest local brand of mobile phone company in Thailand, announced their close and strategic collaboration for enabling and delivering High-Definition TV, using Thailand’s DVB-T2 network, to smartphones and tablets – delivering Live HD TV on mobile devices!

Thailand’s DTT network is the world’s first commercial DVB-T2 service, bringing close to 40 HD channels, free of charge, to consumers – with attractive content covering live news, sports, popular talk shows, soap operas and more. SAMART i-mobile is aggressively pushing a comprehensive family of products including Android Smartphones, tablets with built-in DVB-T2 support, as well as DVB-T2 accessories to other smartphones.

In addition to a plethora of smartphones, ranging from entry-level (such as the i-mobile i-Style 7.7 DTV, i-Style 7.8 DTV) to the higher-end (i-mobile IQ 6.7 DTV, IQ 6.8 DTV, IQ 6.9 DTV), covering various screen sizes, CPU performance and price levels, i-mobile is also launching the DTV Link, a Siano-designed accessory which enables watching DVB-T2 HD TV services on Apple and Android devices (smartphones and tablets), delivering TV over WiFi.
