In the upcoming years, several millions of Smart TV devices will be produced with NetRange’s Portal

HAMBURG, Germany — Grundig, the famous German brand for consumer electronics and small and large household appliances, and NetRange, the leading provider of white label Smart TV solutions, have announced that they will collaborate for Grundig’s new, intelligent TV platform Ultralogic 4K, which will be running on Grundig’s UHD TVs as well as on TV devices of their parent company Arcelik.

For the Smart Inter@active TV 4.0 portal available on these devices, Grundig counts on the proven technology of NetRange. Users in countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Turkey and of course Germany, Austria and Switzerland can choose from more than 1000 apps, among them VoD providers acting both internationally and nationally. NetRange’s Smart TV solution offers more than 100 cloud gaming titles. On Grundig Smart TVs, also Netflix and maxdome are available.

In this respect, Grundig covers new territories, transforming the TV into a direct competitor of game consoles. Furthermore, Grundig is applying an entirely new user interface basing on a recently developed method of operating the Smart TV functions that allows switching between linear TV and Smart TV applications more easily.

“We are happy that Grundig is our first client to choose our completely new portal. Thanks to the new platform, which gathers the most diverse categories ranging from VoD up to Cloud Gaming and thus contains everything Smart TV is currently able to offer, we reach all generations of users”, emphasizes Jan Wendt, CEO of NetRange. “Grundig holding a market share of more than 8 percent for TV in Germany, they are a very important strategic partner for us. We are keen to seeing the results of our common project and are looking forward very much to this cooperation.”
