Telechips and Sigma Designs terminate their cooperation agreement

Telechips strengthens its own independent set top box business and technologies

On August 14, 2017, Telechips and Sigma Designs mutually agreed to terminate their joint cooperation agreement for the development and marketing of a common line of chipsets. Instead, Telechips licensed the key technologies provided by Sigma to aggressively pursue set-top box market opportunities, and Sigma refocused their efforts on Smart TV chipsets.
