AMSTERDAM — DiscVision GmbH, a German software design house, today announced that it is an Alexa Voice Service (AVS) Solution Provider with a solution qualified by Amazon. DiscVision provides solutions for visual devices such as TV sets, set-top boxes and media players, among other related devices. DiscVision’s voice control solution, the DiscVision SDK with AVS integration, will allow device makers to build Alexa into products ranging from TVs to smart speakers and more, streamlining the process for building voice control into a variety of devices.
The DiscVision SDK can turn visual devices into Alexa endpoints, with support for the full suite of Alexa skills and media services, including Amazon Music, Audible, and more. The SDK comes as a complete package of a pre-compiled AVS library for the target platform as well as with an easy to integrate client system for various platforms such as Linux OS, Android OS and Web Interfaces. This pre-certified SDK considerably shortens the time and costs for integrating Alexa into devices.
The SDK is packaged with white-labeled skills to control devices via the cloud, including Custom Skills and Smart Home Skills, as well as Video Skills, which are provided for various languages for multiple localization options.
DiscVision has a long history of providing solutions for visual devices, with more than 15 years in the industry. Supported by a team of highly qualified engineers, DiscVision creates innovative solutions and concepts that are integrated into millions of devices.
DiscVision solutions will be presented at the International Broadcast Conference (IBC), taking place in Amsterdam Netherlands from September 14th to 18th 2018. You will find DiscVision at booth C51 in Hall 2. Here a number of integrations of AVS and skills are presented that have been done for network operators and retail partners.
