Wyplay selected for Android TV DVR at South American operator

MARSEILLE — Wyplay, a global TV Professional Services and Video Platform Solutions provider, has been selected by a major South American Tier-1 Operator for their next generation hybrid Android TV 4K-DVR set-top box platform. Wyplay will provide the iconic “FROG” middleware to address all broadcasting standards and to support the conditional access system. Additional Wyplay back-end components will be delivered to enrich the operator’s solution.
The Wyplay Middleware has already been deployed on more than (10) millions set top boxes worldwide. The Wyplay TV stack solution ported and integrated with Android TV and designed as a separate APK, enables flexible and independent updates. The Wyplay Middleware will support DVB-S standards as well as advanced Conditional Access use cases in compliance with the operator specificities. In addition, Wyplay will deploy an Application Manager and Analytics back-end solution to easily manage client side applications and monitor their deployments.
