PARIS — Viaccess-Orca (VO), a global leader providing OTT and TV platforms, content protection, and advanced data solutions, announced today that Orange Belgium has launched its new TV service with Viaccess-Orca’s Secure Video Player (VO Player). VO’s Secure Video Player is deployed on TV decoders and mobile apps, assuring a superior quality of experience (QoE) for Orange Belgium subscribers on every screen.
The VO Player allows Orange Belgium to comply with content owners’ security requirements, offering the highest content protection on every screen. The VO player is pre-integrated with a wide array of third-party encoders, packagers, analytics, advertising, app vendors, and CDN, ensuring smooth integration within the Orange Belgium OTT live TV ecosystem.
“We selected Viaccess-Orca as our strategic partner based on their expertise in OTT content protection while enabling superior viewing experiences,” said Guillaume Ducellier, TV Domain Manager at Orange Belgium. “With the VO Player we can deliver an exceptional-quality TV experience to customers on TV decoders and OTT apps, as well as a slimmed-down Orange TV Lite service that includes live OTT channels and nPVR.”
“Orange Belgium has been a valued customer for several years, and this latest deployment reconfirms their confidence in our solution.” said Benoit Brieussel, Vice President of Product at Viaccess-Orca. “The VO Player is a critical component not only to deliver an outstanding quality of experience but also to fulfill evolving Belgian advertising regulations, including the recent ad-skipping policies. By porting the same code across devices, the VO Player ensures a unified experience.”
