Welho adds 9k pay TV customers in 4Q09

Sanoma Entertainment offers entertaining experiences on television, radio and online. Sanoma Entertainment’s business units include Nelonen Media, which focuses on broadcast operations, and Welho, Finland’s largest cable television operator. The Division’s newest business unit is Sanoma Games, which concentrates on online casual gaming.

Welho has also actively marketed its pay TV services. This, together with the September launch of Welho Mix, a pay TV channel package offering extensive customisation, enabled Welho to grow its customer base in the fourth quarter.

In December, Welho started 3DTV test distribution among the first players in the world.
