Wipro expands portfolio of Digital TV Stacks for Global Markets

IT Major develops Consumer IPs and Application Framework Components, which enables faster development of digital media devices

CES, Las Vegas — Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), today announced the availability of its Portfolio of Digital TV middleware addressing multiple global markets segmented by different standards.

The portfolio has ATSC and Open Cable along with Cable Card/POD for North America, DVB-T/S/C and DVB-CI for Europe and parts of Asia, and ISDB-T/S for Japan. Wipro also has MHEG-5 Profile 1.06 and DSM-CC for interactive DTV market of UK. In addition, Wipro has developed Application Framework Components, which enables faster development of digital media devices like Set-Top Box and Integrated Digital Television products.
