Walmart makes customers' DVDs available on VUDU
Tuesday, October 14th, 2014
VUDU and Walmart have launched InstaWatch. Instawatch gives customers a digital copy of every eligible DVD or Blu-ray that a customer buys at Walmart, either in store or online. The digital copy is available through the VUDU service and so can be played either online or via devices such as smartphones and tablets.
Customers have to scan the receipt from their purchase with a dedicated app, and the movie is then automatically added to the customer’s VUDU account.
VUDU was acquired by Walmart in 2010.
