HTTV has the pleasure to announce the integration of httvLink, its HbbTV and HTML5 compliant TV operating system for connected STBs, with Zinwell receivers. Based on Broadcom BCM7563 DVB-T2 chipset this receiver will offer an advanced and cost-effective TV experience. The joint solution will be demonstrated at BroadcastAsia event.
Zinwell is a leading Taiwan based STB manufacturer with a strong penetration in the Asian and European markets. The Zinwell STB’s integrated with HTTV’s TV operating system, httvLink, will offers DVB-T2 modulation with advanced internet based services
HTTV is deeply committed to the success of the HbbTV standard and participates to its improvement. Its httvLink TVOS is fully compatible with the HbbTV 1.5 standard. This integration will enable Zinwell to offer a competitive HbbTV solution in term of cost and performances without compromising on quality.
HbbTV is a very compelling value proposition for any country going through their Analogue Switch Off. As an open standard, HbbTV accompanies the transition from the pure broadcast mass market to the fast growing connected world and is rapidly developing in Europe, APAC (Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, New-Zealand,..) and Africa (Senegal, Ivory coast,…) gradually replacing proprietary middleware solutions.
