SK broadband adds 35,000 IPTV subscribers in 3Q09

SEOUL, South Korea — SK broadband incorporated (KOSDAQ: 033630) (the “Company”) Korea’s leading integrated telecommunications company, announced on November 6, 2009 that the Company posted a revenue of KRW 473.9 billion, an operating loss of KRW 40.9 billion and a net loss 59.3 billion, for the third quarter of 2009.
SK broadband acquired 2.88 million accumulated subscribers of 100Mbps fiber LAN broadband service as of the end of third quarter, which amounts to 76% of total broadband subscribers. SK broadband stated that the Company’s convergence market competitiveness was strengthened by increase of fiber LAN subscriber base and strengthened IPTV channel competitiveness through increasing no. of IPTV channels up to 89.
