Telenor Fourth quarter and preliminary results for 2007

FORNEBU — With 30 million new subscriptions in 2007, Telenor is now ranked as the world’s seventh largest mobile operator with a total of 143 million subscriptions in its mobile operations. The high underlying revenue growth continued in the fourth quarter of 2007.

Telenor Broadcast includes:
- Canal Digital Group
– revenues from pay TV subscribers and basic tier households on DTH (direct to home), cable TV subscribers, households in SMATV networks and DTT (Digital terrestrial TV) pay TV subscribers. - Transmission & Encryption
– revenues from satellite services from satellite position 1-degree west, and revenues from terrestrial radio and TV transmission in Norway and revenues from conditional access systems.

A new satellite, Thor 5, was launched 11 February 2008 and is expected to be in operation from the end of the first quarter of 2008.
