German CE Market Grows by 5.5% in First Three Quarters of 2010

Results from Q1-Q3 2010 of the Consumer Electronics Market Index (CEMIX), a German market indicator for CE markets, are available for download.
The German market for consumer electronics continued to grow with a plus of 5.5% within the first nine months of the current year, compared to the same period last year. The three sectors within the market all contributed positively to this trend: Consumer Electronics +2.6%, Telecommunication (private users) +11.7%, IT (private users) +8.5%.
After the positive effect of the FIFA world cup in the second quarter, the 50th IFA in Berlin at the beginning of September was able to stimulate demand in the third quarter.
