DVB approves UHD-1 Phase 2 specification
Nov 17, 2016 – The DVB Steering Board has approved the specification for UHD-1 Phase 2 (TS 101 154). The specification guarantees interoperability and enables broadcasters and CE manufacturers to provide UHD-1 Phase 2 products and services.

3DTV gets a boost with new ITU-R Recommendations
May 31, 2012 – New ITU Recommendations on 3DTV are being submitted to Administrations for accelerated approval. ITU's Radiocommunication Sector (ITU-R) has developed the standards - or Recommendations - in its Study Group 6.

4K and 8K UHDTV defined
May 16, 2012 – At its meeting in May 2012, ITU-R Working party 6C finalised the parameter values for the next two generations of television formats, namely the 4K and 8K UHDTV (Ultra High Definition Television) formats.

DVB forms liaison with 3D@HOME Consortium
Nov 28, 2011 – An agreement confirming a liaison between the 3D@Home Consortium and DVB has been signed. The purpose of the liaison is to encourage the development of standards for 3DTV, to share knowledge about 3D viewing, and to ensure that their work is complementary.

DVB Approves Next Step for 3DTV

DVB Steering Board Approves 3DTV Specification
Feb 22, 2011 – The DVB Project has announce that on February 17 at the 67th Meeting of the Steering Board, the DVB-3DTV specification was approved. The specification will be submitted immediately to ETSI for formal standardisation.

Sep 10, 2010 – Following the approval of the Commercial Requirements for a 3DTV Frame Compatible Plano-Stereoscopic system by the DVB Steering Board on 2 July, DVB - anticipates completion of the specification for DVB-3DTV by the end of 2010.
