North American SVOD market far from mature
Jun 25, 2015 – North America had 50.6 million SVOD homes at end-2014, representing considerable growth since 2010 when there were 16.7 million SVOD homes. Though the North American region is the world’s most mature for SVOD, Digital TV Research is forecasting further growth.

Amazon first to offer HDR videos in U.S.

Free on Demand VOD continues growth in U.S.
Jun 15, 2015 – Rentrak (NASDAQ: RENT) has announced the release of its 'State of VOD: Trend Report'. The report shows that the total time spent viewing Free on Demand (FOD) TV content in the U.S. Broadcast Primetime category has increased 22 percent compared to the previous year.

7% of U.S. households have broadband and OTT but no pay TV
