Jan 23, 2023 – According to Digital TV Research, the number of pay TV subscribers in the MENA region will increase from 17.32 million in 2022 to 19.20 million in 2028, with legitimate pay TV penetration remaining at only 19%.

Africa pay TV to grow to 57 million subscribers by 2028
Jan 9, 2023 – According to Digital TV Research, 16 million pay TV subscribers will be added in Africa between 2022 and 2028 to take the total to 57 million. Subscriber numbers will climb faster than revenues indicating that subscribers will pay less.

Dec 5, 2022 – Global SVOD subscriptions will increase by 428 million between 2022 and 2028 to reach 1.76 billion. The big four platforms collectively will have 372 million hybrid AVOD-SVOD subscribers by 2028.
