Ruutu HbbTV 1.5 online video service launched in Finland
Aug 13, 2015 – A collaboration between Nelonen Media, Digita and Sofia Digital has brought the online video service 'Ruutu' to the Finnish terrestrial TV network. Viewers tuned to the Digita network with an HbbTV 1.5 activated receiver have been able to use the service since June 24th.

Welho adds 9k pay TV customers in 4Q09
Feb 11, 2010 – Sanoma Group (Helsinki:SAA1V) has released its 2009 year-end statement. Welho increased the number of its pay TV subscribers, both quarter-on-quarter (9 thousand) and year-on-year (8 thousand), to reach 76 thousand.

Welho 3Q09 customer base stable at 67 thousand
Nov 6, 2009 – Sanoma Group (Helsinki:SAA1V) has released its interim report for the 1 Jan-30 Sept 2009 period. In line with the Finnish pay TV market, Welho's pay TV operations were stable, down one thousand subscribers versus the same period in 2008.

Sanoma (Helsinki:SAA1V) Group's net sales decreased by 6.9% in the first quarter, totalling EUR 636.0 (683.1) million. Welho's cable TV customer base remained unchanged at 68 thousand.

Sanoma (Welho)'s Year-End Statement 2008
Feb 10, 2009 – Sanoma (Helsinki:SAA1V) Entertainment's net sales from other operations increased clearly in 2008 due to Welho's strong pay TV and broadband sales. Pay TV business was boosted by investments focused on offering more High Definition (HD) channels.

Jul 31, 2008 – In January-June, SanomaWSOY (Helsinki:SWS1V) Group's net sales increased by 3.2%, totalling EUR 1,452.8 (1,408.0) million. In June, Nelonen was the first TV channel in Finland to launch a free HDTV service on Welho's cable network.
