Ten more ATSC 3.0 specifications move to Candidate Standard

ATSC 3.0 Physical Layer elevated to 'Candidate Standard'
Sep 29, 2015 – The Advanced Television Systems Committee has announced that the 'Physical Layer' transmission system for ATSC 3.0 television broadcasting has been elevated to 'Candidate Standard' status. The ATSC TG3 Technology Group approved the ATSC 3.0 Physical Layer Candidate Standard.

SBS, LG conduct first ATSC 3.0 test transmission in Korea

Technicolor and Fraunhofer announce MPEG-H Audio licensing program

Motive develops world’s first Mobile PVR for ATSC
Jul 2, 2015 – Motive Television (AIM: MTV) has announced that it has developed a Mobile Personal Video Recorder (PVR), which the company believes is the world’s first ATSC format PVR for mobile devices. Mobile PVR is entirely based on proprietary Motive software.

Samsung, Pearl TV and Sinclair to collaborate on ATSC 3.0

First ingredient of ATSC 3.0 enters candidate standard phase
May 7, 2015 – The group developing ATSC 3.0 has voted to approve the elevation of 'System Discovery and Signaling' technology to Candidate Standard status. This so-called 'bootstrap signal' portion of the Physical Layer (A/321 Part 1) will be important to the future evolution of ATSC 3.0.
