China - Cable DTV Subscribers Reach 40 million
Oct 9, 2008 – China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) has said that 33 cities and regions had completed DTV conversion projects as of August, bringing the number of digital cable subscribers nationwide to more than 40 million.

22.4 million IPTV subscribers expected in Asia-Pac by 2013
Oct 8, 2008 – New analysis from Frost & Sullivan reveals that the IPTV subscriber base in Asia-Pacific reached 4.1 million in 2007 and estimates this to reach 22.4 million by end-2013, at a compound annual growth rate of 32.7 percent (2007-2013).

Sweden - Strong competition for Boxer in Q3
Oct 7, 2008 – At the end of September, Sweden's Boxer pay DTT service had 696,000 subscribers, a decrease of 5,000 in the third quarter, though still 3,000 more than at the same date last year. Boxer has also approved its first terrestrial PVR (from Sagem).

New Zealand - Freeview powers past the 160,000 mark

Free satellite in 900,000 UK households
Oct 3, 2008 – Ofcom's 'Communications Market: Digital Progress Report' for the second quarter of 2008 shows around 840,000 homes were using free satellite on their main television set. This was an increase of around 120,000 on the previous quarter.
