Cyfrowy Polsat offers Echostar PVR
Oct 28, 2009 – Cyfrowy Polsat is making a new set-top box available to its customers. The receiver, from Echostar, is a high-definition PVR with a 320GB hard disk. The HD DVR-7400 receiver is compatible with the DVB-S and DVB-S2 as well as MPEG-2 and MPEG-4.

Entel launches DTH in Bolivia

Shaw adds 113,000 digital TV subscribers in latest quarter
Oct 23, 2009 – Shaw Communications (TSX: SJR.B, NYSE: SJR) has announced results for the quarter ended August 31, 2009. In the quarter digital cable customers were up 110,501 to 1,297,684. DTH customers increased 2,728 to 900,941.

BSkyB adds 287,000 HD customers in latest quarter

South Africa announces DTT STB subsidy plans

Spain's DIGITAL+ still losing subscribers
Oct 22, 2009 – Grupo PRISA (Madrid: PRS), owner of Sogecable, has reported results for the period January-September 2009. DIGITAL+, Sogecable's Spanish satellite platform, had 1,899,216 subscribers at 30th September, 2009.
