One and a half million active smartcards for TivùSat
Jul 10, 2012 – As Italy's analogue terrestrial TV is switched-off, TivùSat has announced that it has more than one and a half million active smartcards for its satellite service. 5.2% of Italian families are now subscribers.

150,000 active users for TivùSat
Feb 16, 2010 – The number of TivùSat cards ordered by set-top box and television manufacturers for Italy's free-to-air satellite TV service has reached 790,000. With an activation rate of around 1300 to 1500 a day, the number of active users has reached 150,000.

TivùSat ships half millionth card
Dec 9, 2009 – In its first four months of operation, Italy's free satellite platform TivùSat has sold 570,000 cards to manufacturers of set-top boxes and integrated digital televisions, almost double its expectation at this point of 300,000 cards.

Sky Italia to offer DVB-T USB stick for its HD STBs
Oct 19, 2009 – Sky Italia (NASDAQ and ASX: NWS) is planning to launch a DVB-T USB stick which will allow Sky HD and My Sky HD users to receive the free RAI and Mediaset channels that, since the launch of TivùSat, are no longer being broadcast by Sky Italia.

ADB launches Tivù Sat i-CAN MHP box for Italy
Aug 26, 2009 – Advanced Digital Broadcast (SIX:ADBN) has announced the launch of an interactive digital satellite set-top box, the i-CAN1110SH, designed for the Italian Tivù Sat offering. The box is to be distributed in Italy by ADB's partner ZAP.

'TivùSat' DTH to launch in Italy on July 31st
Jul 22, 2009 – Tivù, the company owned by RAI (48.25%), Mediaset (48.25%) and Telecom Italia Media (3.5%), has announced that the launch of TivùSat will be July 31st. TivùSat is Italy's first free-to-air satellite TV service.

Nagravision selected as CAS supplier for Tivù Sat
Feb 23, 2009 – Nagravision (SWX:KUD) will provide the conditional access system (CAS) for Tivu Sat. Tivu Sat is the free-to-air (FTA) satellite service jointly owned by Italian broadcasters RAI, Mediaset and Telecom Italia Media.
