568,000 Saorview receivers sold in run-up to Ireland's digital TV switchover
Apr 2, 2013 – According to Independent.ie, 550,000 new televisions were sold in the 18 months preceding the switch-off of Ireland's analogue TV signal. 335,000 of the TVs had integrated tuners for reception of the replacement Saorview digital terrestrial TV service.

1 in 25 Irish households invest in a set-top box during October
Nov 30, 2012 – Ireland's move to Saorview saw almost 1 in 25 households buying a set-top-box in October. According to GfK, set-top-box volumes sales have increased by 1800%, while volume sales of television sets have been growing by 80% year-on-year.

Government publishes Major Report on TV Viewing Methods in Ireland

Ireland announces Digital Television switch-on
