India adds 0.96 million active DTH subscribers in 1Q 2017
Jul 5, 2017 – According to figures submitted to TRAI, active satellite pay TV subscriptions in India reached 63.61 million at the end of March 2017, up 0.96 million versus the end of 2016. In India there are 6 pay DTH service providers.

India free TV viewership to touch 46 million households by 2020

Pay TV growth in Latin America at less than 1% quarterly
Jun 30, 2017 – According to Dataxis, Latin America and the Caribbean reached 72.6 million Pay TV legal subscribers for the first quarter of 2017. The figure shows a growth of 0.2% compared to the previous quarter making four consecutive quarters of growth below 1%.

More than 60 million HD pay TV subscribers in Latin America in 2022
Jun 30, 2017 – According to Dataxis, the penetration rate of HD amongst pay TV subscribers in Latin America in the first quarter of 2017 was 39.2%. Dataxis forecasts that it will reach 68.4% in 2022.

9% of U.S. broadband households plan to purchase a VR headset in the next year
