Rogers to launch IPTV by year-end

North America to lose fewer pay TV subs
Mar 16, 2016 – According to Digital TV Research, the number of pay TV subs in North America will fall from 112 million in 2012 to 106 million in 2021 with the number of non-pay TV homes climbing from 20.7 million to 33.3 million over the same period.

TV packaging rules come into force in Canada
Mar 1, 2016 – Canadians can now subscribe to an affordable basic television package that costs no more than $25 per month. They will also have the option of supplementing this package with additional channels, either individually or in bundles of up to 10 channels.

Rogers TV subscribers down 24,000 in 4Q 2015
Jan 27, 2016 – Rogers Communications (TSX: RCI.A; RCI.B and NYSE: RCI) has announced results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2015. Cable television subscribers declined by 24,000 in the quarter, and 128,000 year-on-year.

Urban Communications announces IPTV BETA in British Columbia
