Vodafone passes one million TV subscriber mark in Spain
Jan 4, 2016 – Vodafone has announced that it has passed the one million subscriber mark for its TV service in Spain. The company added 216,000 TV subscribers in Spain in 2015.

Etisalat to launch MEA's first 4K Ultra HD TV service with Huawei
Dec 29, 2015 – Huawei has announced that it has partnered with Etisalat to introduce the first 4K Ultra HD TV service in the Middle East and Africa (MEA), which will be available to Etisalat’s eLife customers in the UAE starting first quarter of 2016.

Bell adds Netflix app to Fibe and FibreOP TV receivers
Dec 14, 2015 – Bell has announced that Bell Fibe TV and Bell Aliant FibreOP TV subscribers can now access their Netflix accounts directly from their existing TV receivers. All Fibe TV receivers have been automatically upgraded to enable quick access to the video streaming service.

KPN grows subscriber market share in the Netherlands
Dec 11, 2015 – According to Telecompaper, KPN continues to grow its share of the Dutch TV market, at the expense of cable operator Ziggo. KPN added 0.4 percentage points in the third quarter to take 28 percent of subscribers, while Ziggo lost 0.5 percent points for a share of 52.8 percent.

South African TV households to grow 10% by 2018

Dec 8, 2015 – Australian subscriptions to streaming video on demand (SVOD) services – like Netflix, Presto and Stan – will grow by a factor of 17 between the end of 2014 and the end of 2019, according to new forecasts by Ovum.

Fibre continues to add share in Portugal in 3Q 2015
Dec 2, 2015 – According to Portugal’s Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações (ANACOM), there were 3.473 million subscribers to subscription TV in the country at the end of the third quarter of 2015, 42,000 more than in the previous quarter, with fibre adding 45,500 during the period.
