Telecom Italia: Board of Directors examines and adopts Group first-half report for 2008
Aug 8, 2008 – Telecom Italia (Italy:TIT)(NYSE:TI) revenues were down 3.3% at €14,838 million, from €15,337 million in H1 2007. The IPTV service continued penetrating the consumer market with a portfolio of 180,000 clients, up 100,000 compared with Y/E 2007.

IPTV subscribers in China reach 1.5 million
Aug 7, 2008 – According to CCID Consulting, the number of IPTV subscribers in China at the end of June was 1.545 million. They expect that number to reach 5.229 million in 2012.

Deutsche Telekom confirms financial targets for 2008 following good results in the first six months of the year

Aug 7, 2008 – Portugal Telecom (Lisbon: PTC; NYSE: PT) has announced results for the second quarter and first half, ended 30 June 2008. Net adds for the 'meo' pay-TV service were 70 thousand in the quarter, more than doubling the subscriber base to 116 thousand.
