E-Vision brings High Definition and PVR services to the UAE
Jul 7, 2009 – E-Vision has announced the commercial launch of High Definition (HD) programming for UAE viewers. With this, E-Vision has become the first Pay TV provider in the Middle East to launch a commercial HD service.

Cablevision remote DVR stays legal
Jun 29, 2009 – Cablevision's (NYSE:CVC) 'remote storage DVR' moved a DVR's hardware out of the living room and back into the cloud, but TV studios claimed copyright infringement. The Supreme Court's refusal to hear the case means the RS-DVR remains legal, for now.

Belgium's VOO to launch VOOcorder PVR
Jun 17, 2009 – Belgian cable operator VOO is planning to launch a new HD PVR, called the VOOcorder, on June 25. The PVR has a 250G hard disk, and will cost €6 per month after payment of a €100 installation fee.
