Samsung enables pay TV in India without the need for a set-top
Dec 4, 2024 – Samsung has announced that its Samsung TVKey Cloud is currently available through GTPL and Dish TV in India. The technology, co-developed with NAGRAVISION, eliminates the need for traditional STBs.

DTH subscribers down 1.55 million in India in 1Q 2024
Jul 4, 2024 – According to TRAI, the total Pay DTH active subscriber base in India decreased from 63.52 million in December 2023 to 61.97 million in March 2024. There were 11 MSOs & 1 HITS operator with a subscriber base of over one million.

GTPL Hathway cable TV subscribers unchanged at 7.8 million in Q2 2022
Jul 15, 2022 – GTPL Hathway, India's largest MSO, has announced results for the quarter ended 30th June, 2022. Paying CATV subscribers stood at 7.80 million at the end of the quarter, 500k up on the same period of 2021.
