Ofcom publishes UK Communications Market report 2016
Aug 4, 2016 – The UK’s communications regulator, Ofcom, has published its annual Communications Market report for 2016. More than half of UK adults (59%) used a video-on-demand (VoD) service during 2015 – up from 57% in 2014.

Hungary adds 49,000 digital pay TV subscribers in 2Q 2016
Jul 29, 2016 – According to Hungary’s Office of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), in June 2016, the number of households with digital television subscriptions was 2,397,850, up 49,002 from 2,348,848 at the end of March 2016.

Comcast video subscribers down 4,000 in 2Q 2016
Jul 27, 2016 – Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) has reported results for the quarter ended June 30, 2016. Video customer net losses of 4,000 were the best result for a second quarter in over 10 years, high-speed Internet customer net additions of 220,000 were the best result for a second quarter in 8 years, and Voice customer net additions improved to 64,000.

US cable operators conducting UHD trials with SES
