Philippines looking at DVB-T2 for DTT
May 19, 2011 – Although the Philippines National Telecommunications Commission announced in June last year that they had officially adopted ISDB-T as the country's standard for DTT, the government has asked the NTC to also look at DVB-T2 as a possible alternative.

EBU publishes DVB-T2 planning guidance
May 18, 2011 – The EBU has published a report on network and frequency planning for DVB-T2 terrestrial television services. It is complementary information to the ETSI system specification and implementation guideline and the corresponding DVB Blue Books.

Malawi looking for help to develop Digital TV Migration Technical Plan
Apr 12, 2011 – Malawi has issued an RFP regarding the design of an appropriate DTT network and structures, including options and recommendations for DVB-T2, for the migration from analogue to digital television broadcasting in the country.

DNA awarded VHF-C DTT multiplex in Finland
Mar 31, 2011 – Finland's Government has granted DNA a network operating license covering almost the entire country in multiplex VHF C in the terrestrial network. The licence will be valid until 31 December 2016.

Belarus plans DVB-T2 broadcasting trial

CYMTV signs Hanelcom deal to create IPTV service in Vietnam
Mar 11, 2011 – CYMTV has signed a memorandum of understanding with Vietnam's Hanelcom to jointly build a new IP-based television service for Vietnam. CYMTV and Hanelcom will also co-operate on the future DVB-T2 platform that is set to be launched in 2012.
