Feb 7, 2013 – Ecuador's Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUPERTEL) has released pay TV statistics for the country at the end of January 2013. There were 650,870 subscribers in the Republic at that date.

Aug 2, 2012 – DIRECTV (NASDAQ:DTV) has reported results for the second quarter of 2012. DIRECTV U.S. ended the quarter with 19.91 million subscribers, up 2% year-on-year. In Q2, DIRECTV Latin America added an all-time record 645,000 subscribers to pass the 9 million mark.
