Telekarta satellite TV launched in Russia
Sep 17, 2010 – Another satellite television service, called Telekarta, has launched in Russia. The service is on Intelsat 15 (85.15°E) and consists of 18 channels. Conditional access is provided by Conax and the broadcast format is DVB-S with MPEG-2 compression.

M7 Group launches AustriaSat DTH
Sep 16, 2010 – Luxembourg's M7 Group will begin its AustriaSat digital satellite television service in Austria in October. The service will initially consist of 14 channels. High-definition channels are expected to be added in 2011.

New Zealand switchover to digital television by 2013
