TDC (YouSee) satisfied with earnings in 2008
Feb 5, 2009 – TDC (Copenhagen:TDC)'s income before depreciation, amortization and special items (EBITDA) rose by 5.4% to DKK 13.2bn in 2008. YouSee cable TV subscribers increased to 1,140 million from 1,105 million one year ago.

News Corporation (SKY Italia) Reports Second Quarter
Feb 5, 2009 – News Corporation (NASDAQ: NWS, NWSA; ASX: NWS, NWSLV) has reported financial results for its second quarter ended December 31, 2008. SKY Italia net subscriber additions were 322,000 over the past 12 months giving 4.7 million at quarter-end.

Time Warner Inc. announced Q4 & Full-Year 2008 earnings
Feb 4, 2009 – Time Warner (NYSE:TWX) has reported financial results for its full year and fourth quarter ended December 31, 2008. Digital video subscribers increased by 44 thousand in the quarter to give 8,627 million at year-end.

35% of France's ADSL subscribers have TV-over-DSL
Feb 4, 2009 – France's telecoms authority, ARCEP, has published its latest market survey up to the end of the third quarter 2008. At the end of the period, 35% of ADSL subscribers, or 5.6 million, were also subscribing to TV-over-DSL.

ZON Multimédia (TV Cabo) 4Q08 Operating Update
Feb 4, 2009 – ZON Multimedia (Lisbon: ZON) has released an update ahead of its 4Q08 consolidated results. The number of subscribers to ZON's digital extended package increased by 50 thousand in 4Q08, to 496 thousand subscribers at the end of 2008.

Kabel Deutschland Digital Pay TV up 10.9%
Feb 3, 2009 – Kabel Deutschland (KDG) has announced subscriber figures for its 2008/9 third quarter (October 1 to December 31). At the end of December, the subscription figure for KDG's Digital Pay TV offering was up 82,900 on the year before to 846,300.

Poor Economy Won't Stop Skyrocketing Growth of IPTV

Germany's number of IPTV customers grows to over half a million
Feb 1, 2009 – According to BITKOM, the voice of the information technology, telecommunications, and new media industry in Germany, the number of IPTV subscribers in Germany at the end of 2008 was 536,000, up from 180,000 at the end of 2007.

Colombia's UNE-EPM reaches 30 thousand IPTV subscribers
Jan 30, 2009 – UNE-EPM Telecomunicaciones of Colombia had around 30 thousand IPTV subscribers at end-2008. UNE is the only Colombian company able to launch IPTV because it has both a pay TV license and a cable TV operation.
