Brazil's analogue TV switch-off begins
Feb 15, 2016 – The Digital TV Implementation Group (Gired) has announced that Rio Verde is acting as a pilot city for Brazil's switch-over to digital TV, with its analogue channels being switched off by February 29th.

Ecuador's CNT TV adds 138,211 subscribers in 2015

Millicom Cable RGUs up 5.9% in 2015
Feb 10, 2016 – Millicom has announced results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2015. Total revenue generating units (RGUs) increased by 143,000 from Q3 2015 to 5.39 million with the growth coming from TV offers and fixed broadband solutions.

América Móvil adds 158,000 Pay TV units in 2015

EUTELSAT 65 West A to launch on 9 March
Feb 8, 2016 – Eutelsat (Paris: ETL) has announced that its EUTELSAT 65 West A satellite arrived in Kourou on 6 February and is on track for launch on 9 March by an Ariane rocket. Lift-off of the 6.5 tonne satellite is scheduled on 9 March.

Mexico adds 437,000 pay TV subscribers in 3Q 2015
Feb 8, 2016 – According to Mexico’s Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones, in the third quarter of 2015, pay TV subscriptions in the country were up 11.6% versus the the same point one year before. Mexico added 437 thousand pay TV subscribers in the third quarter, to reach a total of 17.4 million.

DIRECTV up 214k; U-Verse down 240k; DTVLA down 34k subscribers in 4Q 2015
Jan 26, 2016 – AT&T (NYSE:T) has reported results for the fourth quarter of 2015. U.S. video subscribers were down slightly in the quarter. The company added 214,000 satellite subscribers while U-verse TV subscribers declined 240,000. DIRECTV LA fourth-quarter subscriber net losses were 34,000.
