RomTelecom Dolce DTH subscriber base nears 750,000
May 7, 2009 – Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (ASE: HTO, NYSE: OTE) has announced results for the quarter ended March 31, 2009. Compared to the end of Q1'08, the number of direct-to-home TV (Dolce) subscribers rose 50% to nearly 750,000.

DIRECTV U.S. at 18 million subscribers; DTVLA at 4 million
May 7, 2009 – The DIRECTV Group (NASDAQ:DTV) has reported results for the first quarter. DIRECTV U.S. net subscriber additions were 460,000 to give 18.08 million, and DIRECTV Latin America net subscriber additions were 148,000 to give 4.03 million, at quarter end.

Consolidated Communications reaches 18k IPTV subscribers in Q1
May 7, 2009 – Consolidated Communications (Nasdaq: CNSL) has reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2009. IPTV additions were over 1,500 for the quarter to give a total of 18,207, an increase of 5,181, or 39.8% year-on-year.

May 7, 2009 – Magyar Telekom (NYSE: MTA)(Budapest: MTELEKOM) has reported results for the first quarter of 2009. In Hungary, T-Home Sat TV customers reached 47,144 at March 31, 2009. IPTV grew significantly in Hungary, Macedonia and Montenegro.
