Colombia ends 2009 with 3.2 million pay TV subscribers
Jan 29, 2010 – Colombia's Comisión Nacional de Televisión (CNTV) has published pay TV subscriber figures for the country for 2009. In the fourth quarter both UNE-EPM Telecomunicaciones and DIRECTV Colombia increased their market share.

Bouygues Telecom claims 300,000 BBox subscribers
Jan 29, 2010 – According to a message sent to its customers, more than 300,000 have now subscribed to Bouygues Telecom's BBox triple play service. In the fourth quarter of 2009 alone, BBox added 127,000 subscribers.

KT adds 265,000 Qook TV subscribers in 4Q09
Jan 29, 2010 – KT Corporation (Korea Telecom) [KRX:030200/NYSE:KT] has released its 4th Quarter 2009 results. Qook TV (Mega TV as was) IPTV subscribers reached 1.172 million at the end of December 2009, up 265,000 in the quarter.

Time Warner Cable adds 56k digital video subscribers in 4Q09

BSkyB adds 482,000 HD customers in 4Q09

National Communications Authority of Hungary publishes TV report to November 2009

Pay TV in Brazil grows fastest since 2002
Jan 26, 2010 – According to Brazil's Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel), with 1,152,624 new subscribers in 2009, Brazil reached 7,473,476 pay TV households at the end of 2009. The growth rate of 18.24% is the highest recorded since 2002.
