EBU TECHNICAL sets up 3DTV Study Group
Feb 15, 2010 – The EBU Technical Committee has approved the formation of an EBU Study Group on 3DTV. The general aim of the group will be to allow EBU Members with an interest in 3DTV to find a focal point for information and experience exchange.

3D Portion of HDMI Specification Version 1.4 Available for Public Download
Feb 3, 2010 – HDMI Licensing, the agent responsible for licensing the High-Definition Multimedia Interface® (HDMI®) specification, has announced that it has made the 3D portion of the HDMI Specification Version 1.4 available for public download on the HDMI Web site.

Feb 3, 2010 – Pay TV operators are in the early stages of deploying 3D TV capability. Early 3D TVs and 3D Blu-Ray players will ship in 2010. In-Stat projects worldwide 3D TV shipments will reach 41 million in 2014.

Panasonic Opens Blu-ray 3D Authoring Facility
Feb 1, 2010 – Panasonic (NYSE:PC; Tokyo:6752) has unveiled its Blu-ray 3D™ Advanced Authoring Center at the Panasonic Hollywood Laboratory. The Center offers services which are capable of making Blu-ray 3D™ Discs commercially available as early as Spring 2010.

BSkyB to make TV history with the launch of 3D TV
Jan 28, 2010 – BSkyB (LSE:BSY) has announced that it will launch Sky 3D, Europe's first dedicated 3D TV channel, this April. Sky will preview the service this Sunday, becoming the first TV company to broadcast a live 3D TV sports event to a public audience.

BSkyB adds 482,000 HD customers in 4Q09
Jan 28, 2010 – BSkyB (LSE:BSY) has released results for the six months ended 31 December 2009. The quarter saw record growth in Sky+HD. Sky added 482,000 net Sky+HD customers, an increase of 1.3 million HD customers in the last 12 months.

DTG to profile UK standard for 3DTV
