Malawi looking to pre-qualify DVB-T2 set-top distributors
Mar 15, 2015 – As part of its Digital Broadcasting Migration Project, Malawi's Ministry of Information, Tourism and Culture has announced that it intends to pre-qualify potential authorised distributors of DVB-T2 compliant set-top boxes (STBs) in the country.

Siano launches smallest integrated DVB-T2 receiver chip
Mar 2, 2015 – Siano has announced the launch of SMS4430, a new multi-standard digital TV receiver chip designed for mobile/portable consumer electronics applications. The SMS4430 is a lower-cost, smaller-size, lower power-consumption version of Siano’s SMS4470.

MEASAT and partners demo hybrid DVB-S2X/DVB-T2 4K 60p transmission system

Beltelecom expands DVB-T2 coverage in Belarus
Feb 24, 2015 – Beltelecom has announced that its DVB-T2 digital terrestrial television (DTT) service is now available from transmitters in Obukhovo, Skersi, Radoshkovichi and Valozhyn in Belarus.

StarTimes reduces DVB-T2 STB price in Kenya
Feb 23, 2015 – StarTimes Media has effected a 17.5% price drop on the cost of acquiring its DVB-T2 Free-To-Air set top box with the move aimed at making it increasingly affordable for more Kenyans to take up its DTT service.

Italy postpones ban on new TV sets without DVB-T2
Dec 24, 2014 – Italy's Council of Ministers (Consiglio dei Ministri) has put on hold a requirement that all new televisions in the country be DVB-T2 compliant. The rule was planned to come into force on January 1, 2015, with retailers having six months to clear any non-compliant stock.

Beltelecom expands DVB-T2 pay TV coverage in Belarus
Nov 10, 2014 – Belarus national telecoms provider, Beltelecom, has announced the expansion of its Zala DVB-T2 pay TV service to more areas of the country. The operator has added the cities of Masty and Grodno in the Grodno region, taking coverage to around 40% of the territory of Belarus.

Kyrgyzstan begins DVB-T2 broadcasting
Nov 6, 2014 – Kyrgyztelekom has announced that it has begun DVB-T2 terrestrial broadcasting in the Kyrgyz Republic. The DVB-T2 broadcasting equipment tender was won by Kvant-Efir, with satellite capacity provided by Eutelsat.
