Cablecom Mexico to move to DVB-C with Irdeto

New TV service HD+ in Germany successfully established
May 2, 2011 – SES ASTRA (Paris; LuxX: SESG) has announced the first official figures on viewers and customers of its new TV service HD+. As of March 31, 2011, 769,000 households in Germany received the HD+ offer via satellite.

TiVo, DISH Network and EchoStar Announce Half-Billion Dollar Settlement of Patent Litigation
May 2, 2011 – TiVo (NASDAQ:TIVO), DISH Network (NASDAQ:DISH) and EchoStar (NASDAQ:SATS) have announced that they have settled all of their ongoing patent litigation. Under the terms of the settlement, DISH Network and EchoStar agreed to pay TiVo $500 million.

491,000 pay TV subscribers in Uruguay at end-2010
May 2, 2011 – The Uruguayan communications regulator, URSEC, has released a survey of the telecommunications market in Uruguay up to the end of December 2010. The number of Pay TV subscribers at year-end was 491,000.

India ends 2010 with 32 million DTH subscribers

Brazil adds 650,000 pay TV subscribers in 1Q 2011
Apr 28, 2011 – According to Brazil's Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel), the country's pay TV subscriber base ended March 2011 at 10,418,829, up 649,836 in the quarter, with satellite adding nearly 550,000 during the period.

Digital+ launches 3D demo channel on ASTRA
