Aug 1, 2013 – The Digital TV Group has announced the launch of the UK UHD Forum. The group will co-ordinate UK requirements to build a knowledge base for the future interoperability of Ultra HD, and will work hand-in-hand with FAME and other European standards organisations.

BSkyB results for the twelve months ended 30 June 2013
Jul 26, 2013 – British Sky Broadcasting Group PLC (LSE:BSY) has released unaudited results for the twelve months ended 30 June 2013. Sky added another 117,000 HD customers and 122,000 Sky Go Extra customers in the quarter.

UK's Hyperoptic secures £50 million investment
May 23, 2013 – Hyperoptic has announced that it has received an investment commitment of £50 million led by Quantum Strategic Partners. The funding will enable Hyperoptic to reach more than 500,000 UK homes with its 1Gbps fibre broadband, as well as to develop new products such as IPTV.
