DTT drives digital TV in Latin America
Apr 2, 2014 – Digital TV is finally taking off in Latin America – from only 18.1% penetration of TV households at end-2010 to just over the halfway mark by end-2014 and onto 94.5% by 2020, according to a report from Digital TV Research.

Argentina's Pay TV subscribers up 7.3% in 2013
Mar 25, 2014 – According to the Latin American Multichannel Advertising Council (LAMAC), the number of pay TV subscribers in Argentina grew by 7.3%, or 666,800, in 2013 to reach 9,830,700 households at the end of the year.

Colombia's ETB to launch IPTV this month

Ecuador adds 443 thousand pay TV subscribers in 2013
Mar 5, 2014 – Ecuador’s Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUPERTEL) has released pay TV statistics for the country at the end of December 2013. There were 944 thousand subscribers in the Republic at that date, up from 501 thousand at the end of 2012.

Mexico buys 120,000 digital televisions
Feb 19, 2014 – Mexico's Ministry of Communications and Transportation (SCT) has said that it has purchased 120,000 digital TVs for deployment in the cities of Nuevo Laredo and Reynosa as part of the country's switch over to DTT broadcasting.
