Charter residential video customers up 2,000 in 4Q 2017

37.2 million U.S. households to go broadband-only by 2022

AT&T US up 161k; DTVLA up 139k video subs in 4Q 2017
Jan 31, 2018 – AT&T (NYSE:T) has reported results for the fourth quarter of 2017. Total US video subscribers grew by 161,000 in the quarter as DIRECTV NOW subscribers more than offset traditional video declines. For DIRECTV Latin America, fourth-quarter subscriber net adds were 139,000.

Big-3 SVOD players to triple original content spending by 2022
Jan 30, 2018 – The Big-3 SVOD players – Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video – will shift an increasing percentage of their content budgets from licensed content to originals. By 2022, the amount invested in originals will triple to $10 billion annually, according to The Diffusion Group.
