Mobile TV Device Volumes Will Not Decline in 2009
Jul 23, 2009 – TeleAnalytics has calculated that the end-2009 Mobile TV user count will be in the 80.8 million to 81.9 million range. Mobile TV device sales will at worst remain flat, but an increase of up to 2% may be witnessed with respect to the 2008 sales total.

June was a Record Breaking Month for U.S. Video-On-Demand
Jul 22, 2009 – Rentrak (Nasdaq: RENT) has reported that June was the most-viewed month for video-on-demand (VOD) this year, delivering more than 589 million transactions - there was an average of 16.5 minutes of OnDemand viewing a day per active unique set-top box.

Brazil ISDB set-top box sales still slow
Jul 21, 2009 – According to Brazil's Minister of Communications, digital TV set top boxes are still selling slowly. It has been estimated that only 250,000 units have been sold since the introduction of the ISDB service at the end of 2007.

ResearchInChina releases China Digital TV Market Report
Jul 13, 2009 – According to ResearchInChina, at the end of 2008 China had almost 400 million TV subscribers, of which 164 million were cable TV users. At the end of Mar 2009, China had 49.86 million DTV users, less than one third of cable TV subscribers.
