AT&T U-verse TV Reaches 1 Million Subscriber Milestone
Dec 16, 2008 – AT&T (NYSE:T) has announced that AT&T U-verse TV has reached its 1 millionth customer. The milestone comes less than two and a half years after AT&T introduced the only 100% Internet Protocol (IP) TV service offered by a national service provider.

SES AMERICOM To Cease IP- PRIME® Service By July 31, 2009
Dec 15, 2008 – SES AMERICOM (Paris and Luxembourg: SESG) has announced that it will cease providing its IP-PRIME IPTV service in North America. The termination of the service is motivated by the slow adoption of IPTV by small and medium size telecom operators.

Croatia's Optima Telecom to launch IPTV
Dec 8, 2008 – A contract was signed today in Zagreb between Odašiljači i veze (OiV) and Optima Telekom (OT) to provide IP television (IPTV) services in Croatia. The service, called OptiTV, is scheduled for launch by the end of the first quarter of 2009.

Dutch digital TV connections rise 5.4%, 4 million mark in sight
Dec 4, 2008 – The total number of digital TV connections rose during the third quarter by 5.4 percent, or 195,700 net additions, to 3.82 million, increasing its share of the entire TV market to 49.5 percent, according to Telecompaper's Dutch TV quarterly report.
